The Cost of Inaction - Can You Afford It?

What is the cost of inaction?  Only you can determine this, but will you?  Examine, by projecting yourself a year into the future, the status in your life if you simply keep doing the same things you are doing now.  Furthermore, examine the projected worsening damages that may present themselves by allowing inaction to continue unabated.

Think of status quo as a fleeting moment.  Other than the blink of an eye we are either progressing in our journey to success or we are losing ground.  This writing is to focus those of you who wish sincere change in your life the opportunity to experience it. Margot Zemach's award winning book for children, "It Could Always Be Worse" comes to mind as a great read if you are feeling as though you are losing ground.  If you do nothing to change, like those in this legendary Yiddish folk tale, it could always be worse.

As a business coach, I listen to the reasons people are interested in a business opportunity where they chart their own destiny.  Reasons like repeated loss of a job, insufficient retirement plans leaving retiree with the need to supplement to make ends meet, or not enough for life-long dreams of travel, adventure, or comfort.  Some are not able to work outside the home and earn enough to pay day care or are gone so much they have little time left for parenting.  Many, ridden with credit card debt, are unable or barely able to make their monthly payments.  College tuitions, family vacations, leisure pursuits go unfunded. Those in the housing industry, mortgage lending and real estate sales are experiencing perhaps the greatest downturn in their careers right now.

If you resonate with one or more of the profiles listed and you are ready to "pick your self up" and "start over again" then you can benefit from these words.  Note - If you are truly "ready go" skip dusting yourself off.  There is little time for it.

Some people say if you do nothing to change your situation, you will be in the same situation a year from now.  I do not believe that is true.  If you do nothing about your situation, you are likely, in reality, heading down hill.  Even ground is just a blink of that eye.  If you do not course correct, you will not be in the same situation; you will be in a worse situation. Moving to a positive field, the state of attraction will be a solid step of action.

What will it be that will initiate course correction, change, that action for you?  Many factors or interrupters keep us from action.  However, the prevalent ones center on fear.  Fear, fear of change, fear of the unknown, fear it could be worse all keep people from the self-confidence they deserve and it keeps them from action.  Daily I talk with people who are desperate for a change in their lives.  They are experiencing the unhealthy pain of a stress pressed life.  Inaction will not drive you in any upward bound direction.  Most people do not fall into success.  They just do not.  Most of us who enjoy a ladder of our own climbing have worked hard for what we have achieved.  We have become fearless and taken ACTION.

Sure, there is risk.  Risk can be minimized.  In the system that we teach, a unique business model, people are able to work their W2 jobs while they grow their own residual income stream.  We call this "straddling". It is a good fit for those ready to make positive change in their lives and be proactive in accomplishing a sustainable income not dependent upon the whim of corporate mergers or bosses who are trying to produce bottom line results to keep their own jobs.  Those who have lost their jobs have a great opportunity to build a residual based income.  Our model has the capability of producing substantial income within one to two years so often a job is still necessary for a time.  While job-hunting, one can easily devote two to four hours a day to beginning a business that will pay for a lifetime.

If INACTION is a word of past and you are READY GO to work fully focused on charting your own destiny, climbing your own ladder then follow the link provided.  It could always be worse and if one anchors in inaction it is very likely it will be worse.  In the words of Henry Ford, "Whether you think you can or think you can't you are right".   Which right do you want to be?

7 Secrets to Help Realtors Sell Homes

Are you struggling with your business and feeling frustrated that after all your hard work, some contracts do not go through?  If you are, I imagine that you would like to find out how to sell more homes.

A realtor in her mid-forties, Amy, called me for help. The anxious woman shared how she had been going through a lot of stress about a home that was in escrow. There seemed to be one obstacle after another. Since I am in the business of helping people reduce their stress and create what they want in their lives, as a Marriage, Family Therapist, I was glad to offer her assistance.

Amy was terrified that the multimillion-dollar deal would fall through, and she had worked very hard for many months. Also, her finances were low and she really needed this sale.

As I guided Amy through my HART (Holistic And Rapid Transformation) processes, we discovered numerous fears she had that were actually blocking her success. Amy's conscious and unconscious negative beliefs were sabotaging her because thoughts are magnetic. This concept has become popular as the "Law of Attraction."

Her negative beliefs included:

1. People try to take advantage of me and ask for unreasonable changes or additions to the contract.

2. I have to be strong and fight for what I want.

3. I do not deserve all that money in commissions.

4. I am afraid that I will misuse the money as I have in the past.

5.  I never made that much money in my life and it does not fit my self-image.

6. The market is tough, so I won't get the sale.

7.  The last escrow I had, which was also a multi-million dollar home, fell though so this one will too.

Can you relate to any of these beliefs?  Amy is unique but her fears are not. After we released those negative beliefs in the HART process, we changed them to positive ones (affirmations).

1) People are fair and want a win-win contract.

2) I am strong when I am in my heart space and trust that the house will sell.

3) I am a good person, and I deserve an abundance of money.

4)  I trust myself to be responsible with the money I receive in commissions.

5)  I have a positive, happy, prosperous self-image.

6)  The home is now selling easily and effortlessly.

7)  I am successfully selling this home and many others.

I suggested to Amy that she imagine that she is sending the pink light of love from her heart to the heart of the person who is in fear (buyer or seller of the home). This is very powerful because it helps her shift out of her fear space, and it could help the buyer or seller do the same.

I advised Amy to visualize the closing happening just the way she wanted it to be.  Finally, I encouraged her to imagine the commission check in her bank account, and to write down what she was doing with the much needed funds.

Amy called me a week later ecstatic. "The escrow went through," Helene. "I am so excited! Thank you for helping me release my stress and let go of my fears of success, and for teaching me how to spiritually create a very positive outcome. The difficult pending house sale finally closed. I am very grateful!"

You can also sell more homes. Realize that it is a service instead of a job. You are helping people have what they want and need. Release all your negative thoughts and trust in the power of your positive thinking. Affirm that the perfect buyers and sellers are coming to you. Express your gratitude and allow yourself to succeed in your wonderful service.

3 Sure Ways To Lose Opt-In Subscribers Quickly

In the beginning, getting a "you've got mail" message was exciting.  But today, we are all bombarded with email messages that the excitement of receiving an email has lost its luster.  And to make matters worse, most email messages aren't worth getting excited over in the first place.

Part of the problem is Internet Marketers don't realize how important the transition from visitor to subscriber is.  And as a result, they don't respect the subscriber.  Just think about it, you've changed your visitor from someone looking for information to someone asking for information.  This is an important step in the trust process between marketer and potential customer.

The fact is, to build a responsive list of opt-in subscribers you need people to trust you, and trust you quickly.  The faster they trust you, the less likely they will hit the unsubscribe link and disappear forever.  So, gaining your subscribers trust should be priority number one.

Here are 3 things to avoid to keep your subscriber from hitting the unsubscribe link...

Interpreting An Opt-In Subscription As A Free Pass For Endless Marketing

A person subscribes to your list because there is something in it for them.  Maybe you offer an eCourse, or a free report.  But the point is, they want something bad enough to share with you their name and email address.  So, give them what they want.  Deliver the goods.  Make good on your promises!  Don't think this gives you the right to bombard them with offers in the hopes they'll eventually buy something.  Most won't, and most will become disappointed and unsubscribe.  So, make good on your promise and then market to your list responsibly.

Marketing Every Product Under The Sun To Your Opt-In List

As I started earlier, people join your list because there is something in it for them.  Normally, they have a problem and believe subscribing to your list will either provide the solution or bring them one step closer to the solution.  Here is your opportunity to prove your worth and provide the CORRECT solution to their problem.  Don't offer them one solution one minute and then 20 different solutions afterwards.  You'll lose their trust as someone who can truly help them, and hit the unsubscribe link.

Creating A One Size Fits All List For Multiple Topics

If you have the capability to build a list by having an Autoresponder service, you probably have the capability to have unlimited lists.  So, don't try to group everything into one list.  Break your topic into sub-list so you are always providing the specific information your subscribers want.  If you have on list that talks about a lot of different topic, as soon as the topic of the emails doesn't interest them, they're likely to unsubscribe.

Remember, your visitor trusted you enough to share with you their name and email address.  This was a leap of faith on their part.  They believe you have answers to their questions and solutions to their problems.  So, now, the ball is in your court.  You must respect your opt-in subscriber and nurture their trust.  If you do this correctly, you'll be rewarded with a responsive opt-in list, more affiliate commissions, more sales and more money in the bank.  If you do this wrong... "click", you're gone.

Notaries Public do you have delinquent accounts?

Many notaries have reported losses from signing services in the notary forums I frequently read to say abreast of the local perspectives and establish a pulse, as to the concerns that notaries have professionally.

We all get tons of unsolicited junk mail, not the kind sent via email.   Recently, we received a snail mailing from a company, Transworld System, Inc regarding a delinquent collection service they offered, which collects delinquent accounts and returned checks for a fixed fee of $5 - $10 per account, with no percentage included

On the surface we thought that was a great deal, as many companies charge a fixed fee plus a percentage of collections.  In reading notary forums one of the common discussion is non-paying signing services.  From our knowledge and experience with accounts receivable, the longer they age the more they stink.  Also many times when a licensed collection agency contact a creditor with fear of legal actions or worst promises of an adverse credit rating, they find a way to cough up the money.

needAnotary has no connections or affiliations with Transworld Systems, Inc., but felt if the company meets a notaries standards of professional conduct and integrity, it might be an ideal resource to clear the books of long overdue delinquent account from signing companies that owe for work completed months ago.  Plus, their cost model seemed reasonable and affordable for most notaries.  We have not used this company but have placed their contact info in our database, as a referral source if we were every in need of such services.

As a courtesy we are passing their contact along to anyone who want to contact them to check out their services.  We would like to ask if you do use them, please post your experience for the benefits of the community.  With the pending tax deadline approaching, this could be a smooth move to increase your cash flow to pay any taxes you have coming due.

What is Latent Semantic Indexing or LSI?

Latent Semantic Indexing or LSI?

Ranking algorithms for Google, Yahoo! and other search engines are in a constant state of change. If you read various search engine forums you will notice the is often conflicting insight as to how search results are delivered to web-surfers.

One most miss understood concept it is Latent Semantic Indexing or LSI. Here is a little background to define the topic of discussion.

The term "latent" means, "present but not visible" or "concealed".

The term "semantic" means, "pertaining to".

The verb "index" means, "categorize".

Loosely translated, LSI is best described as "present but not visible categorized content pertaining to the different meanings of words" based on artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence used in conjunction with statistical analysis can discover which words are used together in the same context and have a similar relationship.

If you have every noticed inside your browser when you enter a search query, how once you start typing, a list of suggestions start appearing giving you options to consider, this is an example of primitive "Latent Semantic Indexing or LSI" in action based on searches you have conducted in the past.

Do policy makers have the guts?

Economists are predicting that we are either headed for or in a recession.  Using charting from 1974 through Feb 2008 on current and leading indicators.  It is suggested that we take our heads out of the sand; end the debate about where we are in the economic cycle and start taking acting to minimize the effect it will have on the lives of people.

The longer we ignore the reality the more pain and suffering will be experiences.  The psychology mindset is already in place and people’s behaviors and actions are reflecting consistent behavior relative to a slowdown in the economy.  The opportunity exists to not allow it to get stuck such that people loose confidence.

Question is are the policy makers going to engage in rhetoric on who is to blame and point fingers or start working on job creation, injecting additional cash or creating favorable credit policies to stimulate the economy.

The data used in this analysis is a combination of all reported data that is reported weekly that is charted by the fed, government and economic forecasters.

Are you using your subject line effectively?

The use of email is an effective marketing tool and has been steadily increasing. People check their email more frequently that they have in the past.  In spite of the increase in email sent, and the frequency in which people check emails, people are opening less email today than ever.

Your subject is the most valuable real estate in your email message? You see this is the first line a reader sees when they receive an email.   The more effectively you use the subject line; the better your opportunity to get your email opened.    Give considerable thought to your subject line on both initial emails and replies to emails sent to you.

Happy emailing!
